 Twinkling Watermelon

"I'll do whatever it takes to change Father's future. That's why I'm in 1995," - Ha Eun Gyeol (Twinkling Watermelon).

Twinkling Watermelon has finished its 16th episode which is the last episode of this drama on November 14 on the VIU streaming platform. This drama tells the story of the passage of time of a child from a deaf family (CODA) who wants to change his father's future.

A Compelling Complete Story

This 16-episode drama has a complete story that is very interesting with its alluring charm. Not just a story about time travel, but tells many other stories that are revealed in each episode. That's what makes the audience even more impatient to wait for each new episode.

At first the audience is brought to the story of a coda named Eun Gyeol, his life is very complicated, because among his family only he can speak and listen. Many of my twists and turns make Eun Gyeol feel burdened, but she just keeps it to herself and doesn't want to reveal it.

One day, he began to be interested in music and he began to deepen it. growing up Eun Gyeol also joined a band that happened to lack one personnel. He made music without his father knowing, until one day his father found out his son was playing music and made them fight.

The conflict made Eun Gyeol waver between wanting to leave his musical life and following his father's wishes. That's where Eun Gyeol began his time travel to the youth of his father Ha Yi Chan, who turned out not to be deaf.

When going back in time, Eun Gyeol starts to have fun with her father and his band, but Eun Gyeol is also dealing with the dark times of her mother who is deaf and was not taught sign language. Her mother had such a difficult, stressful time and with no one on her side, she decided to teach her mother sign language.

We are then plunged into sadness as Eun Gyeol tries to change her father's fate to avoid the accident that made her father deaf. However, no matter how she tries to change her father's fate, the fate is inevitable.

Fun Teenage Treats

In addition to the stories of the coda family and the deaf teenagers, there are a series of stories about teenagers that teach the audience a lot. The cast brings out and animates their respective characters well, making us who watch it become carried away with the ups and downs of the atmosphere.

With the band Watermelon, we can learn from their passion for building the band and their persistence with their band. From their band's journey we can feel the struggle of teenagers in their school days, before getting busy with their own affairs.

As the story of teenagers, many problems come to them such as love problems, quarrels and competition. but in this series they can solve their problems well.

The friendship highlighted in this drama looks very strong and warm, making the audience will feel sad if they part with them. From their friendship we can learn that good friendship will give color to our teenage journey, and of course helping others will help us solve the problems we face.

After watching this drama, 16 eps still feels less, although there may not be additional eps, but we can still repeat watching it if we want.
